These terms govern the use of this website and summarise the service framework of the HostKontor services. For an actual order, the terms shown in the customer portal before conclusion apply in addition; where they differ, the portal terms prevail.

These terms govern the use of www.hostkontor.de and describe the framework of the server services offered under the HostKontor brand: VPS, hourly-billed cloud servers and dedicated servers.
Service contracts are concluded exclusively through the customer portal at id.hostkontor.de. The product descriptions, prices, terms and conditions shown there during checkout govern the respective contract. This website is informational and is refreshed daily from the portal.
VPS packages include the configuration shown on their card, one IPv4 and one IPv6 address, full root access, a KVM console and three free snapshots. Cloud servers bill hourly from the account balance; resources can be increased and decreased. Dedicated servers provide the listed physical hardware exclusively. Traffic is not billed by volume; the fair-use rule in section 5 applies.
We guarantee 99.98% availability as a monthly average. If we fall short, the unusable time is credited on request. Calculation and claims are governed by the portal terms. Announced maintenance windows and outages caused by customer-managed software do not count as a shortfall.
The port speed must not be saturated continuously; ordinary web, application and database workloads are unaffected. Customers keep their systems updated, protect credentials, maintain accurate contact data and use the services within the acceptable use policy. Customers are responsible for the content and software on their servers; data protection beyond the provided snapshots is the customer's responsibility.
All prices on this website are net and exclude statutory VAT. Payment is by credit card, bank transfer or cryptocurrency. VPS and dedicated contracts run monthly or — where offered — annually; cloud balance is consumed hourly. Moving to a larger package is possible at any time; moving to a smaller one is not. Cancellation periods and channels are shown in the customer portal.
In the event of violations of these terms or the acceptable use policy, payment default or risk to the platform, services may be suspended or terminated in accordance with the portal terms. Serious violations — such as attacks or unlawful content — may lead to immediate suspension; the customer is informed via the contact details on file.
We are liable for intent and gross negligence under statutory rules; for simple negligence only for the breach of essential contractual duties and limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected. Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder of the contract stands. This version applies as of 6 August 2026; review by German counsel has been commissioned.
