Network connectivity: 25 Gbit in Istanbul, 10 Gbit in New York

Connectivity determines how fast your server delivers, synchronises and backs up. That is why every HostKontor VPS sits on a fast uplink: 25 Gbit in Istanbul, 10 Gbit in New York — each with one IPv4 and one IPv6 address included. Traffic is not metered; in exchange, a fair-use rule applies against continuously saturating the port speed.

01

Port speed instead of a transfer quota

Many hosting plans cap monthly transfer and throttle or bill extra once the quota is used up. HostKontor takes the opposite approach: you plan around the port speed of your location, not around a transfer budget you would have to keep monitoring. A visitor rush after a campaign, an update pushed to many clients or the one-off data transfer when moving in from another provider breaks no limit and triggers no surcharge. What matters is fair use of the port alone — described clearly on this page, not hidden in fine print.

02

Istanbul: a 25 Gbit uplink for all eight packages

At the Istanbul location, all eight VPS configurations connect at 25 Gbit — from the entry package with one core, 1 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 20 GB NVMe SSD up to the top configuration with ten cores, 12 GB of RAM and a 240 GB NVMe SSD. The fast uplink is not a privilege of the larger packages but standard from EUR 2.00 net per month plus VAT. For projects with users in Türkiye, the eastern Mediterranean and the adjacent markets, the location puts your data where your audience is. And data-heavy services — downloads, media delivery, replication between systems — get the headroom they need on a 25 Gbit port.

03

New York: a 10 Gbit uplink on the US East Coast

New York offers eight configurations on a 10 Gbit uplink, from one core with 2 GB of RAM and a 40 GB NVMe SSD up to 20 cores with 24 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 240 GB NVMe SSD. The location serves projects with an audience in North America and internationally oriented services that need a dependable foothold in the USA; net prices start at EUR 2.00 per month plus VAT here as well. Both locations run on the same platform: KVM virtualisation, an identical image selection and automatic provisioning, usually within a few minutes of payment. If you run a distributed setup, you simply combine both uplinks in one account — say, the application in Istanbul and a second system in New York.

IPv4 and IPv6 included: dual stack from the start

Every server includes one IPv4 and one IPv6 address; IPv6 costs nothing extra. Your system is reachable over both protocols from first boot and stays ready as your target networks shift further towards IPv6. If the server itself takes on network duties — as a router, VPN endpoint or firewall — MikroTik RouterOS is available in the installation selection; alternatively, you mount your own ISO image. Full root or administrator access gives you control down to system level, and the KVM console still reaches the server even when the operating system no longer boots.

05

Traffic: not metered, with clear rules

Your server's traffic is not metered — there is no included volume and no end-of-month surcharge. In exchange, a fair-use rule applies: the port speed must not be saturated continuously. Ordinary web, application and database workloads are expressly unaffected; the rule targets sustained full load, not everyday peaks. That keeps the uplink dependable for every customer at the location — and you calculate with port speed rather than a transfer meter.

Looking glass and test IPs: where we honestly stand

We have not yet published a public looking glass or test IPs for your own measurements — we would rather say that openly than advertise figures you cannot verify. If that changes, this page is where you will find them first. Until then, we recommend the test that counts anyway: your own application on a real route to your users. We make exactly that test easy — with packages from EUR 2.00 net per month plus VAT and automatic provisioning usually within a few minutes; if demand grows, you can move up to a larger package at any time.

07

The same connectivity for VPS and cloud servers

The cloud server runs on this platform as well: the starter configuration with 2 vCPU, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and an 80 GB SSD connects at 25 Gbit and bills hourly from your account balance — the current hourly rates are shown in the customer portal before you start. Every server is covered by the guaranteed 99.98% availability; if we fall short, the unusable time is credited back to your account. A third location in Germany is in preparation — the cabinets are currently being fitted out, and the launch will be announced on this website. HostKontor is a brand of the White Label Services group (USA), which serves more than 50,000 active customers group-wide; ordering runs through the customer portal at id.hostkontor.de by credit card, bank transfer or cryptocurrency.
