OrderAutomation workflows handle API keys, customer data and internal processes — data many teams deliberately keep on their own infrastructure. On your own server you decide the n8n version, community nodes, environment variables and update schedule yourself. Full root access also means you set up reverse proxy, your own domain, TLS and firewall exactly the way your security requirements demand.
How much server n8n needs depends less on workflow count than on peak concurrency, execution duration, and retention of execution data and binary files. The 16 packages cover that spectrum: from 1 core with 1 GB RAM for first automations up to 20 cores, 24 GB RAM and 240 GB of NVMe storage for full queue-mode setups with their own database. When your automation grows, move to a larger package at any time; downgrades are not supported, so start at a size that fits your expected load.
Whether n8n runs as a Docker container, via npm or behind a reverse proxy with PostgreSQL is your call. Ubuntu 18.04 to 25.04, Debian 9 to 13, AlmaLinux 8/9 and Rocky Linux 9 are available as operating systems, and you can mount your own ISO image. The server itself is provisioned automatically after payment — usually within a few minutes.
n8n moves fast, and updates are part of running it. With three free snapshots per server you capture the state before every version jump and roll back within minutes if something breaks. Scheduled automated backups of the server are available as a paid add-on, and the KVM console gets you onto the system even when it no longer boots.
Webhooks do not wait: your automation has to stay reachable — which is why we guarantee 99.98% availability and credit unusable time back to your account. Every server includes one IPv4 and one IPv6 address; traffic from webhooks, API calls and data transfers is not metered, subject to a fair-use rule against continuously saturating the port speed. You choose Istanbul on a 25 Gbit uplink or New York on 10 Gbit; a German location is in preparation, and the launch will be announced on this website.
Ordering runs through the customer portal at id.hostkontor.de: pick a package, pay by credit card, bank transfer or cryptocurrency — provisioning runs automatically, and then you install n8n your way. Running the application is up to you; the platform underneath comes from HostKontor, a brand of the White Label Services group, which serves more than 50,000 active customers. That is n8n hosting as it should be: your automation, your server, your rules.
